How do I apply for a copyright clearance for a film?
As a part of Road Movies' service we apply for film copyright on your behalf. To apply for a copyright clearance you will need to provide Road Movie with:
Road Movie will then submit a screening request for the film on your behalf and let you know of the films availability and cost.
Can you show reel-to-reel films?
Reel-to-Reel movies can be a great feature for a nostalgia movie nights. The mobile cinema can be set up with twin 16mm Xenon projectors. You can have an intermission, play classic previews, cartoons etc prior to the feature.
Due to the nature of old films you need to be aware that some film prints may be faded or scratched. However Road Movie has screened many 16mm film prints and has taken note of the good prints to help with your selection.
What do I need at the venue?
You will need to provide us with just a standard 240v outlet, with access to circuit breakers etc. You will also need to provide your own seating, box office and audience management.
For daytime screenings you will need to check that all of the windows can be blacked out as the cinema needs to be totally dark.
How long does it take to set up?
The set up takes around 30mins-2hrs depending on the venue and size of the cinema installed. We will have the cinema fully installed and checked before your doors are open to the public.
After the screening the cinema takes about 30mins-1hr to bump-out depending on cinema size.
